Barro plates are available in a variety of profiles and colors, with dimensions reaching up to 1800mm in length, 80mm in depth, and 450mm in width. They are installed on continuous aluminum tubes, spanning between vertical supports that are securely fixed to slabs or mullion blades within the curtain wall system. Design flexibility is further enhanced with a selection of square, round, rectangular, or elliptical sections, allowing architects to achieve both striking and practical façade solutions.
The Barro Supreme Collection brings together Argeton’s innovative terracotta sunscreens with the masterfully crafted glazes of Koninklijke Tichelaar in the Netherlands. The Argeton Inspirio Collection showcases terracotta façades with digital engobing technology, allowing architects to design with patterns inspired by nature, metals, and graphics. With 43 unique designs, it offers endless creative possibilities while maintaining terracotta’s durability and sustainability.
Engobes are premium ceramic surfaces applied to clay panels before firing. Similar to digital printing, digital engobing starts with a high-resolution digital design, which is then precisely applied onto an engobed clay panel. During the firing process, the image fuses with both the engobe and the panel itself, forming a permanent, inseparable bond.
Unlike organic coatings, which can fade or wash out over time, digitally engobed surfaces are permanently fused with the panel. This means long-lasting color stability and resistance to weathering—a key advantage for exterior applications.
